The Last Call
Tomorrow Landline records its final episode!
Tomorrow (December 19, 2025) at 4:00 pm, Landline records its final episode.
This has been a small, strange, meaningful experiment. A phone. A voicemail box. A belief that people still want to talk to strangers about things that matter, especially when life feels unmanageable or absurd or both.
The timing feels right.
This final episode will be a holiday episode. We will be talking about endings and beginnings, family, belonging and/or loneliness, what this season brings up for people, and we will be revisiting some of the best Landline moments along the way. The funny ones. The awkward ones. The ones that surprised us. The ones that reminded us why we started this in the first place.
Landline was never meant to be infinite. It was meant to be honest.
After December 31, the show will be archived. The Substack posts and episodes will remain as a complete body of work, a one-year record of calls, thoughts, and conversations that happened when they needed to happen.
If you have ever called in, listened quietly, shared a post, or sent a note saying “this helped more than you know,” thank you. Truly. This project existed because people showed up without knowing exactly what they would find on the other end of the line.
If you want to be part of the final episode, you know how to reach us (615-212-5437). If you just want to listen, that matters too.
Endings can be clean. They can be intentional. They can even be joyful.
This is one of those.
